Universalism: Go Figure

Had a mental image of Peter being hung upside down on the cross by his feet. Feet spread wide apart, one foot on each side where the arms of Christ had been.

Picture that in your mind’s eye.

Why was this an honorable destiny for Peter, but not for the believers of today?

The doctrines of men and demonic remove the responsibility of man to respond to what’s been given.

Flat out.

Why would Peter die for a lie? Why would Peter die if all are saved?

The death of Peter didn’t spread the gospel - his death proved the worth of the gospel.

Until we as believers embrace that we don’t belong to ourselves, many will die apart from Christ. Worse yet, many believers who are saved - live in this earth from a self imposed mental and heart felt position apart from Christ.

How so?

Many fail to realize all the tools of heaven are at our disposal if we simply choose to seek after them. Yes. The Bible (Luke 11:9) says that those who seek, will find. Seeking implies both desire and journey.

Perfect love (and accompanying power) can only come from a place of selflessness. Like Peter, we are commanded to be that love.

Yet. The teachings of man and demonic remove both the desire and journey.

Go figure.
