Social Media Bandits

Peeps. Yesterday’s faith will not sustain you tomorrow.

More shaking is coming to the globe and the USA much much more. You will need a fresh daily faith, a fresh bold response to the faith deposited within you.

Yes. This is going to step on some toes, but it needs to be said.

If your time on social media is weakening your faith - this is not the time or season to degrade your own “faith immune system.”

Yet. So much of social media is filled with false teaching that is specifically designed to CORRUPT and STEAL your faith. I see so many believers (by the thousands) liking or sharing slickly written memes, quotes, and commentary that is written by people who have a distorted view of biblical freedom.

These social media “bandits” see freedom as a path that excludes accountability and responsibility.

Social media has largely removed:

  • Holiness
  • Repentance
  • Gifting/power
  • Faith/Belief
  • Covenant
  • Judgment
  • Selflessness
  • Giving/Generosity
  • Obedience
  • Surrender
  • Discipleship
  • Eternal separation
  • The devil
  • Forces of evil
  • The Second Coming
  • Co laboring with God
  • Works flowing from faith
  • Suffering as a path of character growth

Each of these forms of freedom are used to INCREASE the desires of the flesh and steal faith. Yet Paul says …

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Galatians 5:13-14

Be very careful what you put in your eyes and ears for those images and false theologies will flow directly from your heart (Matt 15:18).

This is not a time to worry, it’s a time to build faith. If your faith isn’t growing on social media, it’s time to regulate time spent browsing content.

Folks. If we don’t believe this next verse with our entire heart, this season must then be focused on faith, identity building, spending time with Jesus - not allowing the reckless to steal faith and distract us from our purpose.

“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; YOU are of more value than many sparrows.”
Luke 12:6-7
