This will irk some.
You aren’t truly free from the lure of sin, if you aren’t free TO sin! True freedom implies that the things of the world, temptations, and lust for pangs of self ... have no effect on you because you know WHO you are and what purpose you hold.
- We are free to choose.
- We are free to follow life or death.
We can do anything we like ... that doesn’t mean those things bring glory to God, grow the kingdom, help our families, or build up true self.
Paul says, “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. 1 Corinthians 6:12
Whatever dominates us, owns us.
I’m dominated by my relationship with Jesus. There isn’t anything in the earth more powerful or more important to me.
