We had our house built many years ago, and the company who built the home put a foreman in charge of the build.
Let’s call the foreman, Oscar. Let’s call the builder, ABC Homes.
While overseeing our build, Oscar was also building homes for personal profit on the side too.
That’s ok in itself, but Oscar did a couple things that were, stupid and abusive.
First. Oscar was stealing building materials from ABC Homes to build these side projects on his own. Worse, in return for working for free on these personal side homes, Oscar gave financial kickbacks to those contractors building the ABC Homes.
The net result.
Oscar had ZERO authority over the contractors.
They did whatever they wanted, strayed from project timelines, and did a terrible job on almost everything they touched because these guys had Foreman Oscar in their back pockets. Yep. One phone call to ABC Homes from a mad contractor who felt pushed too far by Oscar, and Oscar had much to lose.
So, Oscar couldn’t control the contractors. His mouth was silenced.
The same with demons.
Sleep with them, partner with them, do life with them .... and you have no voice against them. They own you.
The only way to resist the devil and force evil to flee, is to FIRST surrender to God (James 4:7). And, you can’t fully surrender to God while pridefully hanging out or playing with the demonic realm. The spirit realm knows exactly who you are.
Yep. Just ask the Jewish exorcists who didn’t believe in Jesus .... and were beaten and bloodied by the demons they were casting out (Acts 19:15).
Demons know you. Demons can use you.
Demons believe in God and shudder (James 2:19).
Yet. Do we?
“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.” 1 Corinthians 10:21
