Here is the greatest reason or proof that you sit forever in an unbreakable covenant …. that even you cannot mess up.
“If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; 38 but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is 👉 in me and I am 👉 in the Father.” John 10:37-38
Jesus is in The Father, and The Father is in Jesus. “IN” is covenant language!!
The Father and Son sit in covenant with EACH OTHER - not for their benefit - but for the benefit of their own creation.
Jesus IS the covenant (Isaiah 42:6; 49:8) and the covenant put into place between these 2 parties who do not change and CANNOT lie was formed long before time began (Hebrews 4:3; Hebrews 6:18) and was ratified by the blood and resurrection (Col 2:12-15).
For The Father to ever deny you, He’d first have to deny His own covenant partner Jesus (2 Timothy 2:13)!!!! Friends. They are One. If you’ve seen Jesus you’ve seen The Father (Hebrews 1:3). And by the spirit, YOU are One in Christ. If they’ve seen YOU, they’ve seen Jesus (2 Cor 3:18).
The Father cannot ever deny you because you are IN CHRIST, your perfect covenant representative. Yes, YOU are forever and ever safely tucked away inside your covenant with Christ, inside His covenant with The Father (Col 3:3).
YOU were not there when the covenant was created, and only God can break it. Yet He is faithful, even when we fail to be.
And, because you are One, you are called and equipped for even greater works (John 14:12).
If that ain’t good news, then I don’t know what is. 😌
