If I gave you a map of Dallas and my home address, it would be easy for you to find my house. Yes, even if you are unfamiliar with the Dallas area, you could still find my house.
But, what if I gave you my address and a map of Boston?
You'd know where I live, but have a real hard time getting to my door.
This is why it's critical to have in our minds an accurate map of the bible and what God has said. So many people are following MAPS (mental narratives) that other people gave them in serious error, without checking if the map you are working with even has the right city name on it!
When we walk out a spiritual path using these faulty maps, we walk to this destination of a deeper place with God just feeling frustrated, confused, lonely, and powerless. In fact, working harder with God or choosing to walk with a better attitude wouldn’t be of much help because you’d still be lost!
Get into the word for yourself.
Erase existing narratives.
Please. Stop forming your relationship with God wrapped around someone else's intimacy (or lack thereof) with God.
Peeps. You have better than a MAP.
You have GPS!
God's Positioning System ... The Holy Spirit.
Read the word, led by the One who leads you into all Truth!
