Today at school I got to wear my Captain America outfit for Superhero Day ... there is no better day at work!
Anyhow, I was wearing the padded muscle outfit and I was kind of admiring the added bulk around my chest - but not really wanting to invest the time into adding the actual muscle.
The PE teacher is standing right there and says, "You do realize all those muscles are already inside you?"
All the lights went off in my head.
Whether I choose to work them into development or not, the muscles are there. Even if nobody can SEE them, they are still there!
So too are our spiritual giftings!
The second you believe, you are tethered to heaven. You are in union with The Holy Spirit. You don't need some grand experience with God to be able to:
- Heal the sick
- Raise the dead
- Cast out demons
- Speak in tongues
- See or hear in the Spirit realm
These gifts are ALREADY inside you.
But are you willing to walk these things out? Are you willing to work these skills into shape? Are you willing to risk some embarrassment working out in the Gym of The Holy Spirit to flex muscle in the Spirit realm?
Folks, you can't heal the sick if you are afraid to lay hands. You can't speak in tongues if you don't spend time with God to learn how to release the language of heaven. You can't understand the word of God, if you never spend time IN the word of God. And you surely can't hear God's voice if you talk more than you listen.
We must stop jealously desiring the muscles of others, when the powerful muscles already sit inside you.
Simply believe. Go. Be. Do.
