Maturity In Christ

Let’s get something straight, the only one who gets to brag in heaven (if He so chooses) is Jesus.

This is exactly why our development in Christ isn’t a competition or even a process. It’s an event. An event that was done finished 2,000 years ago.

We awaken to who we already are in Christ. We come to realize that what God has said about us in Christ is actually true.

Yes. We each mature at different rates, but this visible maturity is an expression of what’s already a God given truth.

Folks. A baby doesn’t become more “personier” as the little tot matures, and sons don’t become more and more holy as they too mature. The baby is a full fledged person or human being, and the son in Christ is already holy (set apart).

We move deeper into the already existent truth of identity.

I have friends who are half my age and as twice as advanced.

Do they get to brag? No.

I have friends who are 30 years older than me and are half as advanced. Do I get to brag? No.

We have had different speeds of personal revelation, and it very likely has been at the exact pace God foreknew. Yes. Jesus can brag.

In fact. Saying that sanctification is a process is an excuse to stay stuck in the said process. “Well, I’m trying to get there brother.”

Trying to get closer to Jesus or trying to mature as fast as one can - is flat out works. Growing as led by spirit, is a work of Jesus Himself.

We awaken to what’s already been accomplished. Otherwise, it’s not yet been done finished (Hebrews 4:3). We are walking out our spiritual growth in Christ from the place of our already being there - otherwise Jesus isn’t who HE says HE is.

We work from what’s been done, not working towards our getting it done.

Huh?

Jesus 👉👉 IS our:
Wisdom
Righteousness
Sanctification
Redemption

Jesus IS our everything, and we grow into who JESUS already is! If Jesus is still figuring out who He is, we are all in trouble.

Simply. We are awakening to who Jesus 👉 already is ... dwelling WITHIN us.

God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:28-31
