Maturity

Can I please make the stupidest theological statement ever?

Our inheritance is Christ, right. And. The riches of Christ dwell in us, right (Ephesians 1:18; 2:7; 3:8).

Does an immature child receive their full inheritance?

That child might own 100% of everything, but have very little access to the vastness of his own wealth. The young child only has the use of a portion of what’s rightfully his.

Until the kid grows up into adulthood, they don’t get the whole kit and kaboodle. Why? The immature child simply isn’t ready for the responsibilities of wealth.

  • That’s why we need to mature.
  • That’s why we need to grow up in Christ.
  • That’s why we are to feast on the meat of doing.

The gifts of Christ are for the unification and building up of the church. Until we mature in both faith and love, we are settling for only a portion of what’s ours.

It’s time for the church to mature. The date, time is now.

“I mean that the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave, though he is the owner of everything, but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by his father.” Galatians 4:1-2
