New Creation

Jesus came to us in the flesh and is NOW a life-giving spirit. And, in covenant with Christ, so are YOU. Yes. Here. Now. Forever.

This is where the word “flesh” or sarx in the Greek gets very confusing. The word flesh means two separate and distinct things:

  1. the flesh that wraps around your bones.
  2. the flesh that points to the fallen human nature of man.

Obviously, we no longer look at Jesus in the physical flesh, rather we see Him NOW as life-giving spirit. Therefore, as ALIVE IN CHRIST, we ought not to see ourselves or other believers as physical flesh – but rather as eternal spirit.

Despite living in a wrapper of flesh (sarx), you are no longer of fallen human nature (sarx). Peeps, you are a living, eternal, and divine spirit! Yep, you are a new creation. Not merely an upgraded version of the original dead Adamic creation, but rather a completely NEW creation that was never seen prior to the cross!

If you are looking for spirit realm power, but regard yourself as still in Adam, well - there’s your problem.

“From now on, therefore, we regard no one (believers) according to the flesh (physical body). Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh (physical body), we regard him (Jesus) thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:16-17
