In our lives, we can’t give away what we don’t currently possess.
Whether it’s time, money, talent, skill, or even cookies or candy … we can’t give away resources we don’t have. Much the same way, we can’t give away ourselves to others when we don’t possess a strong sense of our own self-worth or self-value. If we don’t possess true “self” we can’t give self away, selflessly!
The key is to learn and grow into WHO we are in Christ. To be rooted in HIM and WHAT JESUS SAYS ABOUT US ... is to be well grounded in true self.
Rooted in JESUS and NOT the world ... we should ALWAYS be growing, ever changing, ever becoming – and constantly hungering to become a more efficient version of SELF in the image of Christ.
How?
By choosing growth despite the fear of change, fear of loss, and the knowing that you won’t always have the answers. Yes, we are propelled into a deeper place of JESUS centered awareness by the hunger of knowing Jesus, ourselves, and others more.
In fact. Some intimate answers that sit within our hearts can only be found by the process of seeking and finding (Jer 29:13). Yet, seeking and finding can only be done with intent and purpose.
Make 2021 the year that we release ourselves, from ourselves.
