Sharing In God’s Glory

I used to post healing testimonies, and I’ve stopped for a number of reasons. Some reasons are selfish, some are personal, and what’s worse often I’ve been accused of sharing in God’s glory.

Aside from the fact that much of the church suffers from identity theft - the church also has a poor view of what it means to co heir.

If a mom bakes a cake with her 3 year old daughter, mom is going to be doing 99.999999% of the work. Hanging out in mom’s presence, the little girl will likely be licking spoons, stirring the mix a little, and handing mom stuff.

When the cake is done, mom and daughter will step into the living room to share the finished work with the entire family .... and the girl is going to say, “Look at what mom and I did! Taste it, see how great it is!”

The kid had little to do with it other than simply showing up and letting mom do the work.

Healing is no different. We just show up and trust Dad to get it done. And then we get to share what we did together as joint heirs. Sharing stories of healing isn’t stealing God’s glory, rather it’s dancing in the joy of what it means to partner with God who did all the work.

Yes. Jesus is looking for kingdom partners, and being quiet about the work being done is counterproductive to building a kingdom. How can His coheirs know what their inheritance is HERE, NOW if nobody ever tells them? In fact, before Jesus was crucified His prayer was that we’d SHARE in this glory to bring UNITY to the church.

One day soon I will share again some of the healing I’ve seen, I’m not ready yet. But, know that if YOU are willing, God wants to use you and share with others what was built together.

“The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”
John 17:22-23
