Theological Foundations

All theological structures must have a solid and sound base to build teaching upon. In my view, any theological perspective must be built upon this foundation:

“Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized (baptizō) into Christ Jesus were baptized (baptizō) into his death?” Romans 6:3

At belief from the heart (Romans 10:10), you were baptized or immersed (baptizō) into the death of Christ and you were baptized or immersed (baptizō) into the life of Christ.

You died.
You were made alive.

But, baptizō is a PERMANENT immersion. It cannot be undone.

The YOU part of you died, forever. And the Holy Spirit part of YOU now dwells with you forever.

* Yes. You’ve forever lost the old man and eternally gained the son of man.

* Yes. Your soul died, but has been made alive by faith in Christ (Eph 3:17).

* Yes. The seat of your soul (heart) has been permanently marked for salvation (2 Cor 1:22).

* Yes. You are now dead to the elements of this world, and made alive NOW to the things of His kingdom.

Peeps. All other theological views about every single biblical subject must begin with this foundational truth:

YOU (believer) are an eternal, new creation and NOTHING can ever take that from you. (Romans 8:38-39).

Any other foundation will make “truth” look like the leaning tower of Pisa.
