How can you spot a false or true believer? How can you spot a false teacher or false prophet?
By their fruit.
WHAT is that fruit? Is it deeds, works, or the things they do?
Nope. It's their character.
Character is the fruit of Righteousness, the fruit of Jesus, or better yet the sweet fruit of being a healthy branch constantly nourished by the vine.
Fruit isn't what you do, it's who you are! It's who you imitate. It's what comes out of your character when you are pressed by the world.
A diseased tree cannot produce good character, and a healthy tree cannot produce bad character. You will know them by their character (fruit).
Simply. You are WHO or WHAT you are rooted in.
Folks. We don't measure fruit, we imitate the Tree of Life, Jesus.

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
