Saved to the Uttermost

II love this verse, and The Lord had me spend some time with it today.

“Consequently, he (Jesus) is able to save (sōzō) to the uttermost (eis) those who 👉 draw near to God through him (Jesus), since he (Jesus) always lives to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25

Jesus doesn’t partially save us.
Jesus doesn’t “kind of” save us.
Jesus doesn’t do “half-finished” work.

Jesus fully saves us.
Spirit. Soul. And body.

In the Greek, the word sōzō means wholeness. This is a salvation of our own spirit, soul, and body from the very moment we believe until all eternity.

But the real key here is that we are saved (sōzō) to the 👉 UTTERMOST. This Greek word eis means a place entered into, unto, to, or towards.

Once we enter INTO covenant, our spirit is made whole. Whether you are aware of it or not, you are now living in the realm of forever. Yes. We become a new creation. We become a spirit born creature, never again to be owned by darkness.

But. What about the soul and body?

Notice, for our soul and body to be made whole … we must draw near to God. Yes. In that place of fellowship, we must enter and KEEP moving UNTO or TOWARDS the Father through Jesus and the intercession of Jesus.

Yes. The fullness of healing - spirit, soul, and body - is rightfully ours and has already been provided to us at the cross by the shed blood. But, there is no way to bring this healing of soul and body to full manifestation outside of INTENTIONALLY drawing near to God through Jesus.

“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” James 4:8
