I compiled this as a ministerial tool for myself, and this is most likely a forever work in progress. It’s a wide composite of things that I knew, things that are kind of obvious, and it’s also much of what I’ve learned listening to everyone over here on the Grace Guys podcasts. I’m calling this my own "heal the sick" crib sheet, and I believe this to be a core list of attributes in sons and daughters that fuel healing from the throne of heaven.
- Humility ... we are flat out dead in the water without it
- Obedience ... at all costs
- Love for others ... despite self
- Selflessness and self-sacrifice
- Faith for the positive things I cannot see (unseen realm)
- Trust for the negative things I do see (seen realm)
- Identity in Christ, with Christ, and through Christ
- Intimacy with The Father
- Walking and living in the Grant covenant (we simply receive)
- Holiness (set apartness, deeper, deeper, and still deeper)
- Identifying as sons with our co-death, co-burial, and co-resurrection
- Boldness
- To teach and share God’s love
- To take risks without apology
- To keep wood on the fire ? that God started IN us (i.e. praying in tongues, studying)
- To hunger and continually ask God for more of Him
- To reject personal responsibility for non healings - but yet learn and grow
- To revel in my own weaknesses for this makes His power perfect
- To put no confidence in myself
- To be moved with compassion, and to hate sickness/pain in others
- To relentlessly declare the promises of God as MINE
- To pray from my seat in heaven, not from my couch on earth
- To believe it’s already been done, finished
- To believe that Jesus has called us to even greater works than He did (John 14:12)
- To believe that God is ALWAYS good, for me and not against me, and the kingdom dwells right here ... in me
- To believe JESUS is the head over EVERY power and authority (Col 2:9-10)
- To believe a cold is no more/less of a problem for God than cancer
- To constantly learn from others, and always go one step further
- To experience God’s presence in both worship and relationships
- To stay in the word, and rely upon the word
"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." Luke 12:48
