It’s amazing how The Lord speaks to us.
Me, He always uses pictures, stories, and analogies. Jesus spoke this way when He trained the 12 disciples - He is still alive - and by His Spirit trains us the same way (if we are willing to see with our heart).
Today, The Holy Spirit used unwanted spam mail about home solar panels.
After some research here’s what I found.
Solar panels lay flat on the roof. Doing absolutely nothing! They have no power source of its own, and have zero moving parts - they simply receive, store, and redistribute power from the sun.
Yes. They announce to the rays of the sun, “land here” and use me for distribution to the working elements of the home. The toaster, the refrigerator, the microwave, the oven, the hairdryer, and all else powered in that home depend on the panel source UPON the roof.
This is where too many believers get stuck.
Within and upon.
The second you believe you have the power of heaven WITHIN you - accessible and operated by faith. You have the ability to raise the dead.
Yes. We all have the same power within, but we don’t all respond with the same faith. Hence, a variety of results.
But, the upon. This is the difference maker.
We don’t all have the same amount of the Holy Spirit UPON us as Jesus did. Those baptized in the Holy Spirit have varying degrees of His Spirit resting upon them. Some do have more than others.
Yet. If we had the same upon as Jesus, we’d have to have the same moral character to sustain the massive responsibilities of this power. But. This is available to us by faith.
"For he (Jesus) whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he (Jesus) gives the Spirit without measure." John 3:34
- When you know you died.
- When you know to surrender.
- When you know you are alive to redistribute power.
When you lay down your life and are willing to give yourself up for the toaster and refrigerator.
Then, yes you are in good position to receive the more of The Spirit UPON from the SON.
With great power stored, alive only for service - The Holy Spirit on HIS OWN USES WHAT’S STORED IN and UPON YOU. You merely become a conduit - often unaware of what the Spirit is doing in others around you.
Like the Ark resting on Mt. Ararat, The Holy Spirit simply rests upon you and does the work of the ministry. You are just the donkey Jesus rides into town on.
As Jesus is right now, so am I (1 John 4:17).
If that’s true, then I have the right to be His solar panel.
